EXHIBITION ▪ VISUAL IDENTITY (2016)


This is Temporary presents a collection of Emma Haikonen inspired by attachment to garments and their slow disappearing. The event combining sound installation with fashion transformed gallery Kalleria into a transient ambience around the collection.
  The perspective of the collection is a person fond of an item. The core of Haikonen’s line is created by the thought that battered clothes are kept and cherished regardless of the changes occurred to them. It all comes together in a contradiction of the meaning of the piece of clothing manifesting into a desire to hold on to it even though it leads to an ever faster progression of evanescence.
  The visual identity is gathered around themes such as everyday luxury (as well as questioning it), momentariness, and the individuals personal relationship with their clothing.
  The point of the presentation was to become unforgettable. My job was to create a visual identity with which the event would be marketed and the collection presented in a visually interesting way. In addition the entirety included the space planning. The environment of the picture world made for the look was moved to the presentation’s gallery space.
  The identity forming of mundane, even shabby, and weird materials and elements focuses on the ideology of the collection: the momentariness and the stretching of the beauty ethics’ borders. The identity isn’t meant to last but instead it represents the current youth’s thoughts and values according to the zeitgeist, without forgetting its dignity and personal expression.

Hello. My name is Tino Nyman b. 1990 – Libra. I’m a Helsinki based graphic designer currently working as a CEO and a creative in one man’s studio by me.
  My practices move between the commercial and artistic world – with a great passion for working within the cultural field. As a designer, I’m specialised in print publications, and creative direction in the fields of branding, visual identities, exhibition design, editorial and imagery concepts. Versatile usage of typography and contemporary photography are strongly visible in my work. Besides that I have a adaptive approach to branding, with a up-to-date thinking about brand’s tone of voice and it’s core values.
  Even though my one man’s studio might seem small with the staff of only one person, I have been an active social butterfly: my wide and diverse network enables me to provide a comprehensive and varied service across different medias.
  I’m always eager to do interesting projects and collaborations with the nice people and talents.
